Imperio de Amor Children’s Home has been adopted by a local church in Monterrey, Familia Cristiana Principe de Paz. This involvement is hugely important as we continue to provide greater depth of care for each orphan we serve.
Two years ago Alicia came to Bethany Children’s Home in Monterrey, Mexico to drop off her two children because she could no longer care for them. Daniel, who runs the home, asked what he could do for her.
Josue and his two younger sisters have lived at El Retiro Juvenil for a number of years. Josue is 14 years old and enjoys playing soccer.
Jeny is 13 years old, and the second oldest of eight children. Jeny lives with her mother, Oti, in a modest home outside of Cancun, Mexico. She likes to sing and enjoys taking dance classes with her sister Marisol. She’s friendly and responsible. And she absolutely loves Justin Bieber.
Cecelia just turned 21 years old. We celebrated with cake, gifts and a small party. As we sang “Happy Birthday,” her eyes began to water. Seeing small tears stream down her face, you couldn’t help but wonder how long it had been since she had celebrated her birthday.
Ten-year old Faith is small for her age but mighty. She is one of the youngest children at Destiny’s Children’s Home. What she lacks in size she makes up for with her big personality. Faith is smart, affectionate and playful. She likes to play practical jokes and wear sparkly dresses – the frillier the better.
We want the children at Douglas Children’s Home in Monterrey, Mexico to experience living in a family. If not with their biological family, we want them to experience a healthy family life with us
Margarito, an energetic nine-year-old boy, has lived at Manantial de Amor Children’s Home for a number of years. He is constantly bouncing off the walls.
Caregivers at each children’s home enjoy spending time together with the children, playing and learning, I am always encouraged to see the results of increasing the number of workers per child.
Over the last few years, Back2Back has seen tremendous growth in our Child Sponsorship Program. We are thrilled to be able to connect you with the children you love, and thank God that He lets us witness the impact it has on their lives.
