There is a children’s book by Shel Silverstein called, The Giving Tree. In this story generosity is shown as over and over as an apple tree gives, and gives, and gives of itself to the little boy it loves.
Many of the children we serve lack access to books and lag behind in literacy. In recent years, thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have built libraries at many of the children’s homes we serve, empowering hundreds of children to discover the joy of reading.
This month we rolled out MERC…our Mobile Education Resource Center.
