Back2Back developed its 10th site in Culiacán, Mexico in 2023. Currently led by a team of three, Back2Back Culiacán is still in its early stages of discovery and development. Staff there connect with local organizations and businesses with the intention of changing the narrative and assumptions on foster care and adoption in-country. Culiacán is home to the state capital, it is where resources are, where the decision makers reside, and Back2Back looks forward to being part of the conversation. The city is heavily populated with migrant workers and their families; children are often not in school in order to help support their family units, and the hope is Back2Back staff could help parents see the value of education for their children and their families as a unit.
Over the past 30 years, Back2Back has grown in the depth and breadth of efforts to restore the lives of those who have experienced trauma.
Today, we serve in communities across the world, including our own backyard.
