Recently, Back2Back staff held a Children’s Day Celebration for all the students served at the Nigeria site. Together, children and teens from elementary school to university gathered to commemorate children around the world with a unifying theme: Stand Up, Speak Up: Building a Bullying-Free Generation.
The day began with dancing and the playing of the National Anthem, followed by students of all ages enjoying fun activities such as dice games, tug of war, and plenty of time on the playground. There was a bounce castle, swings, climbing structures, and dancing was a big part of the event! Each child was encouraged to play freely, dance as much as they wanted, and express themselves in their own unique ways alongside their peers.
When the day came to a close, the consensus was unanimous – no one wanted the day, or the fun, to end. The games may have ended, but the joy carried on, fueling a generation ready to stand tall, speak boldly, and lift one another higher.
