Against the Odds: Persistence Pays Off

Young adults in Nigeria are well-versed in preparing for and taking annual exams. Transitioning within levels of education generally requires a final test, and Back2Back staff support the students who must sit for multiple tests in a short amount of time. Recently, a young man in a partnering children’s home took three different final exams to determine his acceptance to university.

“Mathematics and physics, particularly, presented trouble for this young man,” Back2Back staff shared. “Each day, he showed up to study and was diligent in investing his time and energy into doing well. He overcame the challenges before him and slowly started demonstrating enthusiasm for his work.”

Back2Back staff are excited to share that he passed all his exams and will be studying Computer Engineering in university. His perseverance and passion carried him through and now he gets to invest in a field he is passionate about. Please join us in prayer over all the young adults on the precipice of change and transition – that they would continue in their hard work and know they have the support to accomplish all their goals.
