Recently, children attending the education center received brand-new Bibles. Staff recognize the importance of offering God’s word to children to help establish a foundation with the Lord. Growing up in areas with economic hardship and limited access to resources, children can view their personal Bible as a building block in changing the trajectory of their lives.
“The goal is, above all, for them to learn about God and His love for them,” shared Back2Back staff. “But this is also a way to help each child increase their reading and comprehension abilities, as many of them carry their Bibles with them everywhere.”
One young man, newer to programming, shared, “I feel like Jesus is talking to me, even at home, and I am starting a new journey and strong relationship with Him.”
While a Bible may not mean the same thing to everyone, everywhere, for a group of children in Nigeria, it is a door opening – to greater literacy, to a love they cannot outrun, to a hope that refuses to stand still.
