When I stepped off the plane in Mexico, I was ready to tell a story. I thought I would encounter a narrative similar to those in magazines and television.
Sometimes we go to the mountains for a vacation. Sometimes we go for the adventure of a climb, hike, or zip line. Sometimes we go to connect with nature.
Recently, I was able to be a part of a beautiful retreat for the Hope Education students in Monterrey, Mexico. 120+ teens who live in different children’s homes in Monterrey, Mexico. 40 staff and older teens who offered of themselves to serve. 9 cabins. 10 tents. 2 days. 1 message: My circumstances are temporary, but I am not.
