Position summary: The IT Systems & Data Specialist will drive efficiency in both technology and data management within the organization. This role combines responsibilities for technology strategy, development, and support with data collection, analysis, and reporting. The specialist will support global teams by providing technology solutions, managing data platforms, and offering insights to enhance decision-making. The role demands collaboration across departments to integrate systems, maintain data integrity, and develop tools that facilitate organizational growth.
Primary responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy & Support:
- Design, implement, and manage technology solutions to support ministry operations and communication.
- Develop, maintain, and support web applications and individual users.
- Manage hardware and software upgrades and performance assessments.
- Provide high quality relational training and technical support to staff.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Collect, clean, organize (including mapping), and analyze data from multiple platforms and departments.
- Build and maintain a centralized data warehouse using MySQL.
- Design workflows between platforms (e.g., Google Apps, NetSuite, Raiser’s Edge) and departments using tools like Workato in order to streamline processes.
- Generate meaningful reports and data visualizations using tools like Google Looker Studio, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Perform regular system audits to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist as needed with organizational special events.
Required education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, etc.) or demonstrated role competency.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in web development, data management, or a similar role.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Google Looker Studio, Excel).
- Preferred experience and competency in Netsuite
- Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required.
Required skills and abilities:

- Operate with basic competency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
- Proficiency in front/back-end web technologies (e.g., CSS, JavaScript, PHP) and database management (MySQL).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Workato and Google Apps Scripts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in cross-cultural, international settings.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity.
- Ability to work in multiple operating systems, primarily Windows and MacOS.
