Education Coordinator

Utilize the 5-Point Child Development Plan and other evidence-based assessment and educational evaluation tools to offer educational support and assistance for kids and families in an effort to move them toward dependence on Jesus, interdependence in community, and economic independence.

Back2Back Cincinnati Family Manager and/or Back2Back Cincinnati Education Manager

Works closely with

Back2Back Cincinnati Care Coordination Team, Back2Back Cincinnati Ministry Partners, and Back2Back Cincinnati Partnership Development Team

Position summary: Utilize the 5-Point Child Development Plan and other evidence-based assessment and
educational evaluation tools to offer educational support and assistance for kids and families in an effort
to move them toward dependence on Jesus, interdependence in community, and economic
independence.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide educational support to a caseload of students experiencing educational disparities.
  • Demonstrate academic competence and knowledge of educational interventions and tools to assist students to close educational gaps.
  • Maintains growth mindset toward student learning and technique practice.
  • Facilitates problem-solving with a curious mind and critical thinking.
  • Participates in Interdisciplinary meetings to help set individualized academic goals and track progress.
  • Maintain documentation in Back2Back Cincinnati Care Database.
  • Collaborate with schools and teachers of the students on the caseload.
  • Collaborate with the Care Coordination team to include parents in their child’s educational journey.
  • Assist students and families in navigating educational barriers and opportunities.
  • Participate in and co-lead connection groups at schools when needed.
  • Develop a team of ministry partners that fully fund the position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education
  • Experience working with kids and youth in an academic setting

Required skills and abilities:
