Data Processing Specialist

Increase overall ministry effectiveness by performing data collection and analysis, monitoring key metrics, and providing meaningful reports that inform decision making and planning. This role will operate cross-functionally across many departments in the US Office.

Position summary:  Increase overall ministry effectiveness by performing data collection and analysis, monitoring key metrics, and providing meaningful reports that inform decision making and planning. This role will operate cross-functionally across many departments in the US Office.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across departments and sites to integrate data from various teams.
  • Collect, organize and streamline data from multiple sources.
  • Evaluating existing databases and systems to make and implement recommendations for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Design and develop data sources as custom solutions when needed to support specific projects or needs.
  • Utilize Workato and other tools like Google Apps Scripts to build automations between multiple platforms in order to connect and correlate data across these sources. These include but are not limited to Google Applications, NetSuite, Raiser’s Edge NXT, and MySQL.
  • Utilize Google Looker Studio to build and maintain custom reports for various departments.
  • Ensure data mapping and transformation between systems is executed accurately and effectively.
  • Perform data cleaning activities, system audits,and reconciliations to ensure all data is updated and accurate. Research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain a centralized data warehouse for the purpose of storing, accessing, analyzing, and reporting on data (MySQL).
  • Perform manual data entry as needed.
  • Forecast future data based on trends and predictive analysis.
  • Provide new insights and knowledge across functions through in depth data analysis that identifies gaps and trends.
  • Prepare and submit both scheduled and as needed reports and easy to read data visualizations for internal use.
  • Provide training, technical support, and assistance as needed to staff members using related software.
  • Assist as needed with organizational special events.
  • Develop and maintain a team of ministry partners that fully fund the position.

Required education and experience:

  • 4 year college degree
  • Experience using data analysis tools

Required skills and abilities:

  • Have a clear understanding of and commitment to Back2Back’s mission and vision.

  • Operate with intermediate to advanced competency in Microsoft Office and Google Applications, in particular within MS Excel, G Sheets, and G Looker Studio.
  • Operate with intermediate to advanced competency in integration tools, including but not limited to Workato.
  • Operate with intermediate to advanced competency in databases, data analysis, and reporting tools including but not limited to MySQL and Google Looker Studio.
