Employee Relations Team, Site Directors, Child and Family Development Team, Content Owners, and Content Experts.

Position summary: Increase the competency and capacity of the global staff team through strategies that target collaboration, site ownership, and localization of content. Develop, deliver, and track online assignments through Back2Back Learn and align with global and site offline training to build momentum toward current and future developmental goals for each individual and team so staff member can’t say “I didn’t know we had that,” or “I didn’t have the opportunity to grow and develop in my role.”

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and support to global Back2Back staff and partners, being willing to go the extra mile and work outside normal routines in order to meet needs.
  • Support Site Directors to meet global staff development goals. Collaborate with Site Directors and managers to understand leadership development themes, analyze technical skill gaps, develop and propose solutions, lead content creation, localize content, make content accessible to cultures and contexts, and implement online learning assignment and tracking strategies.
  • Lead the development of all new Back2Back Learn online content. Act as a project manager and Content Owner for organizational content. Collaborate with other project managers, Content Owners, and Content Experts throughout the organization to help them create and publish material. Manage the translation process of all content through qualified staff, volunteers, and contractors.
  • Learn, utilize and manage Back2Back Learn software and systems for collaboration, content creation, translation, publication, and archival (training will be provided).
  • Develop and implement strategies to support individual learning and development based on identified global patterns and needs, role standardization efforts, organizational leadership growth initiatives, and ongoing professional development plans.
  • Support the development of training both live and on demand training. Apply instructional design methods to ensure content meets clear learning objectives and is relevant and engaging to the learner. Explore opportunities to develop and deliver hybrid training content that capitalizes on both online and offline training.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to measure and track staff development. Use the Back2Back Learn database and reporting tools to track training achievements both online and offline, and train managers to create and interpret meaningful reports for their teams. Provide global reports to the Staffing Director and Executive Director as needed.
  • Identify ways Back2Back Learn is underutilized and develop and implement strategies to maximize use of those features to enhance the learning experience.
  • Participate actively in Employee Relations Team meetings, team tasks, activities, and events.
  • Assist as needed with organizational special events.
  • Develop and maintain a team of ministry partners that fully fund the position.

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in instructional design is preferred.
  • Experience in systems administration is helpful.

  • Operate with basic competency in Microsoft Office and Google Applications.

  • Take initiative to identify and meet needs to fill gaps.
