Position: Travel Agent

Reports to: Director of Missions

Position Description: Provide travel services to mission team members and staff, including booking flights, car rentals and accommodations, assisting with passports and visas, and keeping current on all travel alerts. Assists in resolving travel problems.


  • Book airline tickets for mission teams
  • Book airline tickets, hotel accommodations and car rentals for U.S. based staff and international staff while traveling in the U.S.
  • Ensure travelers have the correct documentation
  • Coordinate withBack2Back’s partnered travel agency and train staff on need to know travel policies
  • Provide support for cancelled/missed flights, missing luggage, etc., including evenings and weekends
  • Act as a backup for Mission Trip Coordinators
  • Creatively work towards meeting mission participation goals based on strategic plan
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Support ministry-wide events
  • Maintain ministry development partnerships
  • Work with friends and family to create ministry partners, who financially support the Travel Agent role, and sustain ministry partner development

  • Travel agent experience preferred but not required
  • Travel agent certification; two year commitment required if training is acquired during employment
