I can’t get enough of Haiti. Every chance I get, I hop on a plane to visit the people I care about there. It’s not the cause, or the statistics that make me pack a suitcase – it’s the faces. Each one has a story asking to be heard.
Gervens grabbed my hand and held it in his, and something indescribable occurred. I felt the deepest love for this little boy and a connection that cannot be explained and I knew this was only the beginning of our friendship.
This year, we officially launched a ministry site in Haiti with our partner, Jesus in Haiti Ministries (JiHM). Since the earthquake in 2010, we have made numerous trips to Haiti with great friends and partners of Back2Back who are interested in coming alongside us on this journey.
