Advancement Coordinator

Grows and supports relationships and resources for the site through grant writing, volunteer retention, volunteer application process,and community development team. Position summary: Grows and supports relationships and resources for the site through grant writing, volunteer retention, volunteer application process,and community development team. This role strengthens the organization through funding and volunteers to meet identified needs of children, youth, and families in Cincinnati. 

Primary responsibilities:

  • Formulates and maintains Cincinnati strategic donor and organizational relationships that empower the financial sustainability of the site. 
  • Coordinates and writes grants in partnership with the Back2Back Corporate Advancement Team. 
  • Utilizes the Cincinnati Dashboard and coordinates updates with the Site Leadership Team to track site involvement with staff, volunteers and children, youth and families. 
  • Coordinates the volunteer application process to empower volunteers to effectively serve in Cincinnati. 
  • Communicate and strategize with volunteer groups interested in work projects and volunteer opportunities with Back2Back Cincinnati. 
  • Collaborates with the Partnership Development Manager concerning volunteer needs within those organizations. 
  • Oversee and implement training for volunteers and volunteer groups. 
  • Create and coordinate courses to be added to Back2Back Learn, as needed. 
  • Coordinates all donations to the site.
  • Assist and support Neighborhood Play.
  • Assist as needed with organizational special events. 
  • Leads and participates in communities of belonging as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain a team of ministry partners that fully fund the position.

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s 4 year degree, preferably Human Development and Community Engagement or Communication
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Experience with grant writing

Required skills and abilities:

  • Have a clear understanding of and commitment to Back2Back’s mission and vision.
  • Adhere to and share the Back2Back Statement of Faith, Cultural Values, and Standards of a Staff Member.
  • Operate with basic competency in Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
  • Ability to manage projects
