US Child Sponsorship Program Developer, US Office

Position Title: US Child Sponsorship Program Developer
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Status: Full-Time – 40 hours/week
Reports to: Child Sponsorship Manager
Works closely with: Child Sponsorship Manager, Child Sponsorship Coordinator, Development Team
Position summary: Work with the Child Sponsorship Program team to explore ways of gaining new sponsors, growing the Back2Back Child Sponsorship Advocacy program, and increase sponsor retention with current sponsors.
Primary responsibilities:

  • Train, coordinate with, and collaborate with site Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) Coordinators (and Back2Back Captains/Case Workers where applicable) on CSP related tasks

  • Work with directors and Children Home/ Partnership Captains to communicate with and update sponsors

  • Assist with Child Sponsorship letter process

  • Assist with developing the Child Sponsorship Program

  • Engage current sponsors to develop deeper relationship and improve sponsor retention

    • Specifically, for $250/month sponsors and sponsors who give to home or program without a sponsorship relationship with a child

  • Explore and implement best ways to share about child sponsorship with mission teams, churches, and individuals

  • Grow CSP Advocacy by working with churches and individual advocates

  • Steward all Back2Back resources

  • Develop and maintain a team of ministry partners that fully fund the position.

Required education and experience:

  • 4-year college degree

  • Mature Christian

  • Mission field experience preferred, but not required.

Required skills and abilities:

  • Commit to Back2Back’s mission and vision.

  • Adhere to and share the Back2Back Statement of Faith, Cultural Values, and Standards of a Staff Member.

  • Ability to travel internationally and locally

  • Operate with basic competency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Administrative and detail-oriented

  • Experience working administratively on a computer utilizing Microsoft office and Google (excel, word, power point, gmail)

  • Ability to manage people through delegation, clear direction and communication of expectations

  • Knowledgeable of financial processes and fiscally responsible

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Strategic-thinker and able to implement and support strategic plans

  • Project management skills, including ability to oversee multiple simultaneous projects

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Flexible and teachable; adaptable to change

  • Displays wisdom

  • Ability to work cooperatively and contribute as a team player

  • Strong analytical/evaluative skills
