With additional Back2Back India staff and the new India Hope Campus, the timing was perfect to begin an annual Orphan Sunday service. We planned a special service to engage the children and connect them to children living at other Back2Back sites.
When I was little, I remember at Christmastime we often made Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes with my mom to send to children who didn’t have as much as we did. It seems so simple, but I now realize the impact it had on me was a lasting one.
“We are only as good as we are deep” is a Back2Back value which resonates deeply within the staff in Mazatlan, Mexico. As parents ourselves, we understand each child is a unique creation who learns and matures in an individualized way.
In an effort to provide holistic orphan care, Back2Back believes dental care is a crucial component in meeting each child’s physical needs. Back2Back is pleased to have Sofia Segura on staff, a resident dentist who works in the clinic full-time.
Back2Back staff serves the orphan child worldwide in varied positions. Whether serving abroad or in the U.S., each missionary fulfills a unique role in the ministry, leveraging his or her God-given abilities for the Kingdom of God. This month, we chat with the state side director of the Nigeria and Haiti sites, Jason Munafo.
Tony traveled to Haiti with his wife, daughter, and the LifePoint Vineyard team from West Chester, Ohio to serve with Back2Back. Early in the week, he was drawn to a young, blind boy named Gervens.
Rossy is making a difference in her community of Bonfil, situated near the Back2Back Cancun site. Over a decade ago, she founded Mission Educ-Arte to share God’s love with the community.
In these tabernacle moments when we feel Him near, we can sense His dwelling among us. To borrow a phrase from the fifth century Christians, we are in a thin place.
As we celebrate a day of Thanksgiving, we at Back2Back wanted to take a moment to share with you just a few of the many things we are thankful for!
